Bro… it literally says 30 grams of protein on the front of the can. What are we doing here?
This guy’s entire argument hinges on a fundamental misunderstanding of PDCAAS and FDA labeling rules.
Here’s the actual science:
PDCAAS = Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score.
It’s just a method of evaluating protein quality via amino-acid profile + digestibility.
(FAO/WHO, 1991; Schaafsma 2000, PMID: 10867064)
Here’s the actual labeling rule:
Food companies are only required to display a % Daily Value if they make a nutrient content claim like “high protein,” “excellent source,” etc.
If a product simply states the number of grams — e.g., “30g protein” — it does not require a %DV.

This isn’t “sus.”
It’s literally just how labeling law works.
Greek yogurt and Beyond Meat list %DV because they market themselves as “high protein.” Perfect Protein doesn’t — so it doesn’t have to.
And no, the absence of %DV has nothing to do with hiding protein quality.
It’s a paperwork thing, not a conspiracy thing.
